6 Months Old

Izzie turned 6 months old on Wednesday. She has changed in so many ways over the past month. She has gotten so big. At her wellness visit Thursday she was in the 75% in head circumference and weight and still in the 95% in length. It looks like our "little" girl is going to be a tall "little" girl!

We are still on our quest to eat solid foods.
Foods she has eaten:
Rice
Oatmeal
Pears
Carrots
Peas
Sweet Potatoes

Foods she currently eats:
NONE!-- That's right. She has been on an eating strike for over a week. The Pediatrician says that we shouldn't be worried. He said she could be exclusively bottle fed until she was 9 months old.

What she's doing this month:
She is very articulate with her hands. She passes items from one hand to the other and "studies" them.
She can sit if you place her in sitting position.
She spends alot of time on her hands and knees.
She crawled for the first time Sunday and instantly forgot how to do it again.
She is sleeping through the night more and more. (not willing to say "regularly" yet)
She makes all kinds of neat sounds and loves to hear the sound of her own voice.
She is into texture and spends time feeling different things. She will run her hand from her baby gym to the carpet over and over again.
She hates to eat or take medicine.
She is getting strong. She can almost get away from me if she wants to.
She puts things in her mouth. She is actively teething and will teethe on anything or anyone she can.

See how much she has changed!
