I took the girls to see the dentist for the very first time this morning. We saw a very nice Christian man named Dr.McCarty. He and his staff were great!
Izzie did pretty well. The hygentist started by showing her each tool and letting her feel it. She got scared half way into the cleaning and cried a little bit. When the Dr. came in, he"counted"each of Izzie's teeth with his little tool thingie and reported that she had no cavities.
Liza was completely different. Instead of cleaning her teeth with the special tools, the hygentist brushed Liza's teeth with the tooth brush they gave her. That part was semi-tramatic. When the Dr.came to "count"her teeth, Liza lost it! Even though I was holding her with her head in his lap she was terrified. She screamed, full volume, the whole time he checked her teeth. But... At least she didn't have any cavities.
Both girls got to put their names in the "no cavity" bowl for a chance to win a sock monkey. We ended our visit by the girls giving Dr. McCarty a hug. Liza even said, "tanch you, Carty."
Despite the drama,i couldn't be more pleased with their trip to the dentist!

Lets go fly a kite

The girls had their very first kite flying adventure today. They absolutely loved it. The wind and location were perfect. They were able to let all the string out on both kites.

Liza's 2nd birthday

Liza turned 2 month ago today. It's not that I have forgotten to make this post, we've just been busy.

Dear Liza,
OnFebruary 16th you turned two years old. You are such a blessing to our family. Your little personality is a delight. You are a very happy child. You wave hello and good bye to everyone you meet. You love your sister, Izzie. The two of you play together very well. I adore your previous little smile. You are very strong willed. Although this presents a problem for you now, I know God will use it one day to further His kingdom. You speak very well. Most of the time, your speech is in complete sentences. You nursed just a month past your second birthday. You eat like a champ. The green-er a food is, the more you like it. Green beans, turnip greens, and broccoli are among some of your favorites! You started sleeping through the night at 20 months old (Praise God!) We have started working on potty training, although your aren't there yet. You have started to grow. You are now in the 20th % for weight and the 50 % for length. You wear a size 2T clothes,a size 4 diaper and a size 6 shoe. You love Dora the Explorer. You can count to 10 in English and have begun to learn to count in Spanish as well. Your favorite toy is your baby doll. You are not picky concerning which one, but you are always dragging one around with your favorite pink and green blankie. I love you, sweet Liza. You are a blessing from God, and we thank Him your you every day.
